Not volume, value.
We don't aim to have the most clients. We aren't interested in volume. Because we can’t deliver the level of customization we wants to a long roster of clients. What we want is to give each client the best value in terms of service, strategy and results. We want to give them the personalized attention they deserve and the customized strategies they need to achieve their goals. Every single investor, every single time.
Even the process is customized.
Many advisors and wealth managers have clearly defined, step-by-step processes for onboarding and working with a client. Our process is tailored to the wants, needs, preferences and priorities of his clients. Not the other way around.
Sure, there are some basic steps we include with all of our clients: information gathering, risk assessing and the like. But how they communicate, when they meet, what they talk about… it’s all driven by the individual client’s needs.
Hand-picked stocks.
Mutual funds can be a no-brainer for many advisors. But, again, not for Kevin. He actually hand-picks every stock in each of his client’s portfolios. Not only because he knows it’s the best way to build a customized portfolio designed to meet his client’s well-defined needs, but there are also savings involved. In fact, it’s less expensive to own individual stocks than mutual funds or ETFs, which often have embedded fees.
What you own, why you own it.
Another reason we are not interested in a large volume of clients is we believe our clients should know what they own and why they own it. So, we take the time to explain how each specific stock is included in their portfolio and how it’s going to help them accomplish their goals. We believe this level of explanation and customization enhances the level of trust our clients have in us, keeps them involved with their investments and gives them more confidence about the future.
